Our Story

Founded by Cary Harris in 2018, we are a leading youth tackle football program based at Calabasas High School.  Our kids come from the Valley and greater Los Angeles area.  We are one of Los Angeles’s premier youth tackle programs with a highly experienced coaching staff. We are members of the Gold Coast Youth Football League and welcome football players ages 8 to 14. 

Our Philosophy

We prioritize the long-term physical, mental, and social development and well-being of our players and emphasize safety, character development, and sportsmanship.  Teamwork and sportsmanship matter more than winning or losing.  We also take the long view — and always emphasize what is best for our kids long-term at each age level.  While we constantly research and apply the latest techniques to raise the level of our game, we believe the greatest lessons from football are the character lessons and the camaraderie.  We strongly adhere to Pete Carroll’s “Win Forever” philosophy. We believe child safety matters most and introduce contact and tackling in stages through carefully designed drills in highly controlled settings starting with a foundation of bag work and non-contact fundamental instruction.  We use the Rocky Seto system, emphasizing a rugby style of tackling that gets the helmet out of the tackle and are trained in the latest concussion protocols.

Our Founder

Cary Harris is a Los Angeles native, former NFL player, USC alum, and Notre Dame High School alum.  He was one of the top cornerbacks in the 2009 NFL Draft, and was drafted by the Buffalo Bills.  He also played for the Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals, and New York Giants, and subsequently coached in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders, and Seattle Seahawks.  Prior to his NFL career, he was the USC starting cornerback under Pete Carroll winning three Rose Bowls.  At Notre Dame High School, he was a football and track star where many of his records still stand to this day.  Cary is actively involved in his local community and is also the founder of the NFL SFV flag football league, which is one of the largest and most successful flag leagues in Los Angeles serving kids (ages 5-14).  Cary is currently the Calabasas High School varsity football head coach.
